An alert was issued by the Charles County Sheriff's Office on Monday as they seek the public's assistance in tracking down Mack Lee Cleckley, 40, of no fixed address, after he violated the conditions of his bond following a drug arrest.
According to investigators, in August last year, detectives from the sheriff's office presented a drug distribution case to a Charles County Grand Jury which charged Cleckley with possession with the intent to distribute drugs, possession of drugs, possession of drug distribution equipment, and other related offenses, leading to a warrant for his arrest.
Cleckley was located in Prince George's County last month by members of the US Marshals Capital Area Regional Task Force and taken to the Charles County Detention Center.
On Thursday, May 2, a judge ordered that Cleckley could be released on electronic monitoring, officials said, and the following day he cut off the device and a new bench warrant was issued for his arrest on Tuesday, May 7.
Cleckley has no fixed address but has ties to Baltimore and Prince George’s counties.
He has been described as being 5-foot-6, weighing 140 pounds with tattoos on both arms. If he is spotted, the sheriff's office cautioned that one should not approach him, as he as previous firearms charges and has assaulted officers during previous arrest.
Tipsters have been advised to call 911 or Charles County Crime Solvers at 1-866-411-TIPS if they have information about Cleckley or his whereabouts.
